Partners, thank you for your prayers and gifts to assist our efforts to help the people of Haiti through this difficult time in their nation’s history. We currently have a team on the ground in Haiti to distribute enough food to feed 271,000 people, provide water purifiers so citizens will have access to clean drinking water, supply medical help for the most critically wounded, deliver medical supplies to assist affected residents in the border areas of Port-au-Prince, and partnered with CURE International-Santo Domingo, one of the first responders to Port-au-Prince, as we are now supporting their team who set up field hospitals and restored two operating rooms in damaged hospitals. While Haiti is making strides to overcome this incredible devastation, there is still much to be done!
Many of you have asked how you can get involved. Below are ways you can help us share the love of Christ in tangible ways to our Haitian neighbors.
1. Help for Haiti
- To assist The Potter’s House with the relief efforts in Haiti, please visit our website at www.thepottershouse.org and click on the “Help for Haiti” banner to donate.
- Your donation to MegaCARE Missions, our nonprofit humanitarian arm, will help us provide food, clean water and medical supplies to the people of Haiti.
- Any dollar amount will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to the relief efforts.
2. Prayer/Spiritual Guidance
- If you know of someone who has been impacted by the devastation in Haiti and would like to offer them additional resources for prayer or spiritual guidance, please direct them to our Customer Care Center at 214-623-4020.
3. Counseling services
- The Counseling and Behavioral Health Center is offering counseling services for individuals and families who have been affected by the devastation of Haiti.
- If you know someone in need of individual, group or family counseling please direct them to our counseling department at 214-333-6483.
