When a family has a child with an intellectual or developmental disability (IDD), it can take a toll on every member of the household. However, The Potter’s House Dallas Chapter of Best Buddies wants every family member to know – you’re not alone!

On Saturday, July 28, The Potter’s House Dallas Chapter of Best Buddies invites you to join us for an engaging, informative meeting with Aundrea Caldwell, author of Wait! Did You Say Autistic? As our guest speaker for the event, Aundrea Caldwell and her son Cameron will share their intimate journey navigating the realm of autism.

Whether you’re a mother, father, sibling, caregiver, or teacher of an individual with IDD, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with others who understand your unique perspective. Discover strategies and tips for socialization, inclusion, and gaining independence when you join us for this Best Buddies IDD Support Group. At the conclusion of this support group meeting, you’ll be well on your way to developing a constructive game plan that will allow you to address and communicate the unique concerns you face.

Together, with a focus on the family, we’ll embark on this journey to fully understand IDD and how it shapes our emotional, social, and mental health within family dynamics.

We look forward to seeing you (and your family) on Saturday, July 28 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at The P.L.A.C.E. in Dallas, TX. For more information, email bestbuddies@tdjakes.org or call 214.331.0954, ext. 1417.
